We are seeking experienced HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics who can handle a variety of projects including commercial new construction.
$18-$26 MechanicsQualificationsAn HVAC Sheet-metal Journeyman shall demonstrate the following competencies:
Ability to read and understand construction drawingsAbility to work overhead from ladders, man lifts, scaffold, etc.
Ability to detail duct & duct fittings for fabrication in the field and from drawingsAbility to layout, install, seal duct systemsAbility to make field modifications to duct-work to fit unforeseen site conflictsAbility to safely rig and set large / heavy equipmentMust possess and be proficient in the use of hand tools related to the tradeMust possess the ability to read and use a tape measureAbility to effectively communicate with internal and external customersEnsures all activities are carried out according to established specifications and schedules.
Ensures all work documentation is fully and accurately completed.
Produce quality work promptly.
Adhere to company safety standards and protocols.
Responsible for keeping and maintaining a clean workspace.
The following items are preferable; however, they are not required:
Ability to install refrigeration piping systemsAbility to terminate electrical wiring at various HVAC equipmentKnowledge of CHW / HW systemsCapable of effectively directing apprentices.
