Job DescriptionThe Patient Care/Wound Care Tech is responsible for performing various age appropriate patient care activities necessary in caring for the needs and comfort of patients of all ages.
Functions include gathering and reporting data, vital signs, clean and restock rooms, removal of wound care dressings, basic wound cleansing in preparation for clinical evaluation by licensed staff.
These tasks are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of the Center under the supervision of licensed clinical staff.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

High School graduate or equivalent.
Certification as a nursing assistant preferred, but not required.
2-3 years experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Must be able to use web-based database programs and Internet.
Certification as a nursing assistant or medical assistant is preferred, but not required.
Current BLS required.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
